Welcome toQuirky Crafts Challengesthe place where any craft project is allowed.
We're a small design team with big inspiration.
On the first Sunday of the month, at 6pm UK time, we will set a new challenge which will close on the 28th of that month at midday. The DT will pick their top three favourites and you could win a prize and join us as a Guest Designer. Winners are posted on the first Sunday in the month (midday usually) before the new challenge - don't forget to come and check if you are a winner.
And please, do not forget contact Cazzy using the link in the sidebar, with your choice of sets. I will send your winner's badges and pass your choices to our sponsor. We would love you all to be Guest Designers in two weeks time - please tell me if you can!
Have Fun - The Quirky Crafts Challenge Design Team.
Hello, here I am again (Doris) and It is time for dream and believe!. How or where is you Fairy World? It is maybe on clouds up in the heavens, which roads are rainbows, as well as the bridge down to Earth? We invite you to leave the real world and invent you own Fairy World. Build up your own enchanted world, using at least three one or more of the following items from the fairy ring (and a fairy of course). We want to know your dreams!
And, for your inspiration
Let me tell you about the prizes. Our great sponsor:
You can just choose from the rubber stamps and they will be made into digital images for you.
In addition to the prizes - every person who enters can have 10%off anything from the Crackerbox Palace website, just contact Cazzy via the email link in the sidebar, or comment to say you would like 10% off. You can have any stamp as a digital image for $3 each less 10% of course.
The team were generously provided with lovely images from our sponsor:
Now I want to introduce you our amazing Guest Designers
Janet made a gorgeous page, and as well as the fairy (Fairy Constance) she used gemstones (counts as sparkles), a sun, clouds, glitter (sparkles) and a sentiment.
The fairy laying down (Sleeping Fairy Dreama) immediately shouted reflection to me, so this is my first card using a sentiment, Cloud digi and sparkle/gem flowers.
I wanted my second card to be more fun as this fairy (Fayette) looks full of mischief, so I have used a concertina pop-out with the stars digi, stamped the sentiment and added sparkle to the wings and stars.
And we want to share with you, the beautiful Design Team creations
Yes, I know....I'm late again. Can't help it! (added here on Tuesday) It's getting harder and harder to actually get into my craft room, I'm scared I might get lost and nobody will find me! I've made a scene using four of the images from our sponsor, plus the castle, which isn't really a stamp, but I liked it so....that's why it's there! I've also added silver gel, micro glitter, gems and some tiny flowers. The papers are by Summer Driggs.
For my project, I chose to make a non traditional fairy card, using Fairy Constance and just 3 colors: black, white and red.
I added a whimsical sun, gemstones (sparkles) and a fairy sentiment "Believe" cause I do believe in fairies :o)
KAREN
I chose my favorite fairy and fairy verse stamp from Crackerbox Palace.
I've had them both for quite awhile. I colored Fairy Aurora with a Wand using Copics and attached her on a piece of purple leathery paper I
bought eons ago from Provocraft. Both the purple paper and the blue
are shimmery to begin with but I thought a little bit fairy dust was
needed so I covered the purple paper under Aurora with Distress Glitter.
Aurora loves her happy dust! Visit my site to check out the awesome
Hello Happy Dust verse inside!

Nice challenge Doris, thank you! I decided to make a scene using Sleeping Fairy Dreama, sleeping peacefully under a summer sky with Clouds and Happy Sun (like her gold bling eyeshadow?) I have my fairy, sun, clouds and a two sentiments, as well as lots of glitter on the wings, clouds, sun and purple glitter card so lots of sparkles! The sentiment is from Digi Boutique and the Happy Birthday sentiment is LOTV as is the paper. I added some ribbon and a wishing well charm too.
Inside I used the same paper but pale blue with a strip of the check paper to tie in with the front.
DORIS
My project for this challenge is a beautiful and bright card. And as you know, we have to choose at least 3 elements, the elements that I have chosen: a fairy of course, sparkles, stars, the moon and a saying. The digital image I chose is a sweet fairy (Fairy Constance) provided by our fabulous sponsor Crackerbox Palace. I also used glitter, sparkle flowers, star brads and .gems stone flourishes. I painted the digi image using Spectrum Noir. Come and join with us in this beautiful challenge. For more details, I invite you to visit my blog.
