We're a small design team with big inspiration.

On the first Sunday of the month, at 6pm UK time, we will set a new challenge which will close on the 28th of that month at midday. The DT will pick their top three favourites and you could win a prize and join us as a Guest Designer. Winners are posted on the first Sunday in the month (midday usually) before the new challenge - don't forget to come and check if you are a winner.

Challenge 17- School's Out For Summer

If you are looking for the winners of the last challenge - please scroll down to the next post.

My Challenge this time (Diane). I was thinking about what to set, a new shape card?....an old shape card we have all forgotten about?....a certain element? colour?...so many choices!
I decided in the end to go for School's Out For Summer. I want to see children having fun. I decided on this theme because i was thinking about how hard my Children had worked this year towards their exams. Not that they are children any more at 20 and 17, but they have worked so hard and really were ready for the Summer Break. So that's what I want to see, any project that shows or involves children having fun!

We have a sponsor for this challenge. Robyns Fetish.

They are offering a great prize of your choice of 5 Digital Images to the winner, as decided by our Design Team. Talking of our Design Team...this is what we have designed using some of the images available from Robyn's Fetish.

Guest Helen
Helen used Shells for Sale, this little girl is on her holidays at the seaside. Helen has added net, real shells and bunting to complete the look. Hop on over to Helen's blog to tell her you love this, and see more great projects.

Guest Jeanette
Jeanette has also used Shells for Sale with a sunny hot colour scheme. Get more details and see Jeanette's other great projects on her blog, and don't forget to say how much you like this!

Guest Frea
Frea has used Katie Jumping Rope for this gorgeous card, Katie's dress looks like real fabric. For more details and more lovely cards hop on over to Frea's blog.

Phew, this has taken me a day and a half, mainly because I wanted to keep the second image size so had to find a format that worked. This is loosely based on a Joy Cut card from SCS. The front image is called Rain Rain go away, typical British Summer weather, we have had a lot of rain!
Then it stopped raining and the little girl could go to the beach, I used Shells for Sale on the inside of my card with more freebie papers, see the wallpaper on the back of the window panel? I think the two images worked perfectly together!

Since starting school this year my son Alex has really got into reading so I couldn't resist using the 'reading is fun' digital stamp on this scrapbook layout of Alex lying in bed reading upside down! I used a mixture of K&Co and Hot off the press papers with Doodle Bug alphabet letters and brads, stickers etc from my stash.
Here is a close up of the 'reading is fun' digital stamp coloured with promarkers.

Lyn - will be along later...
I'm here! Sorry for being so late! Here's my card. I decided not to use a boy or girl for this challenge, but this cute little Carl bear, coz bears have fun too! You'll find him in our sponsors store here! I've chosen to use 6x6 Serif 'Picnic In The Park' and We R Memory, Travellight paper stacks (freebies with a magazine) as they have other activities going on, mainly travel and picnics!
I did a bit of ripping, coloured with Promarkers, also did a bit of 3D-ing and added my own doodle back ground, then added the extra ball to the bears paw rather than over the other ball. Inside, there's room for some holiday or birthday money!
Fonts are freebies, link on blog...which will also be late!

I chose to work with Katie Skips Rope. When I was a child if my nose wasn't firmly stuck in the latest Famous Five Book I would be found outside skipping, playing Two Ball or jumping elastic. My colours here are not showing as vibrantly as in real life, so please pardon the picture.

So there are some ideas for you....show us what you have got!

Please add a link to your blog post (not your blog) using the biggest blue froggy at the top of the collection, the other one (at the bottom) doesn't do anything that we can tell, and please comment after you have linked.Don't forget to mention Quirky and add a link back to here (please read the rules and if you realised you haven't followed the rules and won't be included in the top three, and you want your entry removed to try again - please email us using the link in the side bar).
Have Fun - The Quirky Crafts Challenge Design Team.

Challenge #10. Winner.

We were a little disappointed that not many of you had a go at Diane's Quirky sliding window/pull up card. We cried buckets! No, only kidding. But it does make it harder for us to chose a Design Team winner because everyone of the entries were fabulous and we loved them all! But there can only be one winner of The Stitchy Bear Voucher.
So, first, the winner of the 'voting' as you can see is...
Well done Kelly! You squeezed in at the last minute! Please help yourself to a Winners Badge and contact Cazzy using the email link on the sidebar as we'd love you to join us as a Guest Designer in one of our next challenges!
The favourite creation, most favoured by the Design Team and the winner of the $10 voucher to spend in the Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps Store is...
Beverly G ♥
Well done Beverly! We loved your card and were very impressed on how quickly you entered the challenge! Please would you grab a winners badge from the sidebar and contact Cazzy about your prize. We'd also love to invite you to join us as a Guest Designer in one of our future challenges too!
And!! (there's more) because there were so few entries and because we really wish you could all win, we'd love to invite Goldie to join us as a Guest Designer too in the not too distant future, so please could you also take a winners badge and contact Cazzy about joining the Team as Guest a Designer for one of our next Challenges!
The new challenge should start around about 6ish this evening! Please pop back and join in as it's my turn to set the new challenge so you know it's going to be easy because I can't do difficult! But on saying that, I really enjoyed making my Slide Window/Pull Up Card so Thank You Diane for setting such a Quirky Challenge! That's it for now. Thanks for stopping by!!
