Welcome to Quirky Crafts Challenges

Welcome to Quirky Crafts Challenges the place where any craft project is allowed.

We're a small design team with big inspiration.

On the first Sunday of the month, at 6pm UK time, we will set a new challenge which will close on the 28th of that month at midday. The DT will pick their top three favourites and you could win a prize and join us as a Guest Designer. Winners are posted on the first Sunday in the month (midday usually) before the new challenge - don't forget to come and check if you are a winner.

Quirky Challenge #13. 2011 - Lyn's recipe theme box

Hi peoples! It's time for another Quirky Challenge! This time it's my turn (Lyn) to set the theme and I thought I'd do something other than a sketch as I always do a sketch. I've chosen instead something that will give you more choice but at the same time still be a bit of a Quirky challenge! This time I've come up with...

A Recipe Theme Box!
All you have to do is choose any three or more of the squares (or even all of them if you feel very creative and confused!) and make something crafty, ie... you might like to choose to use Acetate, Ribbon and three backing papers, with a digi...or, five flowers, Pink and blue and Embossing. The idea is to use no less than three of the boxes or more. Any questions just ask!!
This challenge is kindly being sponsored by Crafty Ribbons!

The Design Team's chosen winner will receive a yummy selection of strawberry ribbons from Crafty Ribbons. Aren't they just too scrumptious!!

And!! we are happy to announce a new and second sponsor for this challenge

The winner of the public vote will be able to choose EITHER 5 Robyn's Fetish digital stamps OR 4 digital stamps and 1 digital paper set. How fabulous is that!

Now...because this challenge has a wide choice of embellishments to add to your crafty makes, we on the team have had a little chin-wag, and would really much like you to mention in your Post or your link back to us, what you have used on your creation,ie on your list of challenges please add Quirky Craft-Theme Box. I've used, five flowers, embossing, ribbon, and a stamped image...or whatever you've used. Okay?! Thank you!
And now for the DT and GDT fabulous makes. First we have...
Guest Designer Jeanette Waters on behalf of Robyn's Fetish has made a fabulous card. Jeanette used the English Tea Cup image on this elegant card.

Guest Designer Judy used the strawberry image and the English tea cup on her fabulous Easel card, isn't is just gorgeous! See more images on her blog.

Guest Designer Darling Ho also used the English tea cup on this pretty pink card.

Also went for the tea cup stamp for her contribution and used 3 backing papers (the third is printed on the mat with the cup), lace, coffee and cream colours, the digi image of course, and five flowers..(if you count the ones on the cup!)

Spyder
I've used Puppy Paws (I've darkened his eyes a little bit more) with three papers, coffee & cream, four card candi, four brads, five flowers (one's a double), embossing and a raffia ribbon.

Cazzy used the Its a Dragonfly Day image and the Polka Dot Dreams paper pack to make her card, with some Crafty Ribbon's ribbon. So got the papers, also 4 brads, ribbon, pink and blue and an embossed sentiment. There are actually 7 flowers.

Caro used the Puppy Paws digital image with a ribbon and the colours coffee and cream

Come back and vote for your favourites on Friday 1st July after 18:00 or Saturday 2nd of July before 17:00 BST.

Oh and by the way if you can't vote on this post you need to click on the big lovely Mr Blue Froggy just below this and it will take you to the collection where you will be able to vote. Only one vote per entry is allowed, and if you think you have voted twice don't worry it won't count them both!
