Hello there it is Tinz here with your new challenge at our re-vamped

your friends know we are back :D. We also have a new DT member to share with
you – please welcome Susan to the Quirky Challenge DT!
To see who won the last challenge see the previous post below this one.
As it is Pet Owner’s day on 18th April I decided
to go for a quirky pets theme. For this we want to see either unusual pets, or
pets doing unusual things. Our lovely sponsor for this challenge is

They provide cutting files as well as digi stamps, so 3D
creations are a doddle with these files. Please feel free to use these for
whatever craft medium you are comfortable with.

From Tinz's choice I have selected some one of the images from the animals and bugs set...they are all so cute. I decided to make a door hanging for a child.

I designed a box frame sized to suit using Silhouette Studio and cut the
pieces using my Cameo. I also made the lettering that way.
I took the image I had chosen into Craft Artist, resized it and printed
multiple copies which I then cut out using my Scan and Cut.
I coloured the images using LePlume pens and decoupaged them up to give dimension.
I thought a snail would be a particularly quirky creature to have as a pet! This little fellow and the sentiment came from the Animals and Bug Love Set. I've layered it up with lots of snippets left from one of the free paper stacks that came with a magazine several years ago. I coloured the snail in with Promarkers then made the shell dotty by dabbing a Promarkers blender pen over it, to go with the dotty background paper.
I decided that a pink elephant would be suitably quirky! I coloured him with Promarkers and also round the edge of the frame. Mounted the image onto a scrap of black card and set it at a jaunty angle. The backing paper was some from a Simon Says Stamp card kit last year, thought the black and white doodles looked good against the pink.

I used the spider shaker card cutting set. As I do not own a Cricut or similar I simply printed out the template and made the card from this. I stamped the sentiment onto the tummey before making the shaker card and added bat sequins for the shake element.
