Welcome to Quirky Crafts Challenges

Welcome to Quirky Crafts Challenges the place where any craft project is allowed.

We're a small design team with big inspiration.

On the first Sunday of the month, at 6pm UK time, we will set a new challenge which will close on the 28th of that month at midday. The DT will pick their top three favourites and you could win a prize and join us as a Guest Designer. Winners are posted on the first Sunday in the month (midday usually) before the new challenge - don't forget to come and check if you are a winner.

Challenge 12- Under The Sea.

It's my turn again (Diane). This one has come around very quickly...doesn't time fly?

This time I decided not to tax everyone too much by giving a certain style to follow. I just have a theme for you of Under The Sea. It can be whatever you want...as long as it has an under the sea connection.
We have a lovely sponsor for this challenge....we are very lucky to have wonderful sponsors for our challenges, and this time around it is Digital Delights By Louby Loo.

The winner of the Design Team Choice will receive 3 lovely digi images of their own choice from our sponsor.

Our Design Team Winner and the Public Vote Winner will also get the chance to be a Guest Designer in the future and the right to display our sought after winners badge on their blog.

Our Design Team have been busy as usual to give you some inspiration. We were given some lovely stamps to work with. Here are some ideas from our latest guest designers, and the design team, feel free to visit our blogs (see side bar for details) to see how we made our examples, and to nab Spyder's latest freebie!

Guest Designer Bev G loved these images so much she made two cards, the first using the Whale on a 3D sea.

Bev G's second card using the Mermaid, just check out those real shells! Visit Bev's blog so find how she got that gorgeous shiny background!

Guest Designer Kelly made a very pretty Mermaid and clam card, love the pearls and the colour combo Kelly!

Guest Designer Goldie also made two cards, the first is a side step card using all the images and again real shells, to see more images of this lovely detailed card hop over to Goldie's blog.

Goldie's second card is a fabulous window shaker card, again there will be lots more images on Goldie's blog.

I love these images..I have used promarkers to colour in the image and then a glaze over the top to create the wet look on the scales of the mermaid. This one is destined to be a birthday card for my 3 year old niece.
My nephew is into all things under the sea so I used most of the images (except the mermaid) and combined them with his favourite TV characters (Octonauts) to create a card I know he will love for his 4th Birthday!

also used the mermaid on an acetate window and some real shells.

Cazzy (late again) used the whale and clam with the Under the Sea background stamp.

Come back and vote for your favourites on Friday 17th June after 18:00 or Saturday 18th of June before 17:00 BST.

Oh and by the way if you can't vote on this post you need to click on the big lovely Mr Blue Froggy just below this and it will take you to the collection where you will be able to vote. Only one vote per entry is allowed, and if you think you have voted twice don't worry it won't count them both!
